Our activities in natural resources include mapping the Earth’s surface using satellite data and describing the subsoil through seismic data and well drilling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By applying advanced statistical methods, we integrate data with geological knowledge to create realistic mathematical models of the subsoil. These models support objectives such as efficiently locating and extracting hydrocarbons and minerals or mapping the subsoil for sustainable geothermal energy production. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our researchers develop new mathematical, statistical and numerical methods which are incorporated into commercial software solutions. These methods not only enhance descriptive precision but also provide a clear understanding of the remaining uncertainties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, we use satellite data to monitor large-scale natural resources , such as forest biomass and snow cover in mountainous terrain. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
